CafBeat Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and wangrui (“we”, “us”) for your use of CafBeat (咖律, the “App”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App. If the language versions differ, the English version prevails for users outside mainland China and the Simplified Chinese version prevails for users in mainland China.
1. The service
The App is a coffee log. It recognizes cup labels and order screenshots, records coffee, estimates calories and caffeine, and produces statistics, reports and exports. No account is needed; your data is stored on your device, and in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync.
2. Estimates are for reference only
- Calories, caffeine content, the caffeine curve, bedtime suggestions, the “coffee tax” and work-hour conversions are estimates based on public information and general models. They may differ from reality and are for reference only, not medical, nutritional or health advice.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a heart condition, are sensitive to caffeine or take medication, follow your doctor’s advice.
- Text recognition can make mistakes. Please check results before saving.
3. Third-party brands
Coffee brand and drink names in the App are there only to help you recognize and log your drinks. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these brands.
4. CafBeat Pro and in-app purchases
- Core logging is free. CafBeat Pro adds extra receipt styles, the stamp album, cup label stubs and other features described in the App.
- Pro is offered as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices vary by country or region; the price shown on the App Store purchase sheet applies.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The yearly subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. After cancelling, Pro remains available until the end of the paid period.
- On a new device or after reinstalling, use Settings > Pro > Restore Purchases with the same Apple ID.
- All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Your data
Your records belong to you. Because the App has no servers, we cannot back up or restore your data. Deleting the App, erasing data, or switching devices without iCloud sync may cause data loss. We recommend turning on iCloud sync or exporting a CSV backup regularly.
6. Acceptable use
Use the App lawfully. Do not reverse engineer, decompile or crack the App, or use it to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
7. Intellectual property
The App’s name, icon, interface design, receipt styles, stamp artwork, code and curated built-in data belong to us. Do not copy, modify or use them commercially without permission. Images and reports you export from the App are yours to share for personal use.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
We work to keep the App reliable but do not guarantee it is error-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of or inability to use the App. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms when features or laws change and will post updates on this page. For material changes we will notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may bring a claim before a competent people’s court where we are located.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where the two conflict, the term more favorable to you applies.
